SUNDAY FEBRUARY 18
Lovesong Week Three
Many of us go through life operating under the unspoken rule: "you get what you deserve." But what if God's pursuit of us defies this formula? Join us this week as we look at God's faithfulness to us, even when we don't deserve it!

In case you missed last week...
This past Sunday we dove deeper into the biblical story of Hosea and Gomer in our current music series, Lovesong! If you missed part 2 of the story, catch it here to pick up where we left off for Week 3 this upcoming Sunday!

-COMING UP-

Day of Hope- Convoy of Hope Tri-valley Community Event
May 5th | Alameda County Fairgrounds
Day of Hope is fast approaching, with just 10 more Saturdays ahead of us before May 5th! As we are gearing up with our leadership teams now in place, we are ready to find those awesome folks who want to share their skill set in some specific areas! If you are wanting to just come and do whatever is needed on that day, we'd love to have your servant hearts as well!

If you are wanting to be a part of giving back to your community and being the Hands and Feet of Jesus and you are a:
- dentist, hygienist, orthodontist
- EMT, nurse, doctor, physician's assistant
- have a license to cut hair
- professional photographer
- Spanish speaker (to serve as a translator)
- currently serve in our Kids Ministry and want to serve with kids that day

Fill out the card you will receive walking into service this Sunday and take it to the respective kiosk for your next step to being on our Volunteer Team! You can also visit the "Wherever You Need Me" kiosk for all the other areas we'll be serving that day. If you are new or just hearing about Day of Hope for the first time, you can visit the information kiosk this Sunday to ask questions or pick up a flyer about Day of Hope. The Practice: Writing the Psalms of Your Life (Spiritual Formation)
Saturday, February 24 |  9am-12pm | Church property | Jim Matthews
Cost: $20 (includes continental breakfast, snacks and all class materials)
With the “audacity of intimacy” the writer of the Psalms lays before us the vast array of soul-states a God-loyal person might experience.  The Psalms are not the nice prayers of nice people. They are the raw, earthy, honest expressions of combustible human beings whispered and/or shouted a listening God “whose love endures forever.” Most importantly to us, the Psalmist’s words were often on the lips of Jesus! They were spiritually “formative” for him. With the Psalms in-hand as our template, this practice experience will focus on the forms of the Psalms and give opportunity for you to participate in Psalm-writing your own life experiences.  No prior writing experience is necessary. We will write.  We will listen.  And, in faith, we will wait to see how God chooses to show up. Register here. Contact Jodie Tey for more info!

Eden Garden – an organic, community garden project! (Beyond These Walls)
Much work is going on in our existing and new garden areas during our dormant season to continue to accomplish our 2 simple goals of providing a place where people can come together: to grow food for those in need, and to learn about growing their own fruits and vegetables.  We will be having Pop Up Work Parties during the months of February and March as our schedules and weather permit.  April will see us start our summer garden and regular work parties on most Fridays and on the third Saturday of the month (a change from last year).  Please email us here if you would like to be added to our email list.  Conversely if you wish to no longer receive emails, please let us know and we will remove you from the list.  Happy Gardening!

Moxie Book Club for Women (Women's Ministry)
Saturdays, March 3,10,17, 24 | 10am | Farm Theater | Free

Grab your copy of Of Mess and Moxie by Jen Hatmaker and let's meet, read and process the goodness together over the course of four weeks starting in March. This book brings hilarious tales, shameless honesty, and hope for the woman who has forgotten her moxie. It offers a reminder to live undaunted “in the moment” no matter what the moments hold, and lead vibrant, courageous, grace-filled lives. Register here! Contact Leslie Will for more information.

This individual will be responsible for scheduling and managing our childcare staff. In addition, the role will be assisting families with check-in and registration, as well as connecting and working with ministry leaders on staff. If you are outgoing, organized, and enjoy working with and leading people- then this role may be a good fit for you! This is a part-time position in which evening hours are required.  For more information or to apply for this position please contact Jodie Tey or give us a call.
