The Creed | Week Five
When it comes to Christianity, there are many different approaches, understandings and interpretations of doctrine.  And at CrossWinds, we’re ok with that.  There are plenty of things where we agree to disagree.  But there are a number of belief structures that are essential to the Christian faith.  Join us in the upcoming series, The Creed: A Vocabulary of Faith as we explore the core beliefs that unite us.

Prayer Path Party
July 23rd
The property here at CrossWinds sure is breathtaking.  We cannot contain our excitement any longer and wanted to share this upcoming project.  The purpose of Prayer Path is to create sacred space where you can connect with God, family, and friends as well as take advantage of enjoying this beautiful property He has given us.  Volunteer with us at one of the upcoming working parties and bring your family today to join the fun.  See you there!  For further questions, please email us at prayerpath@crosswindschurch.org

COMMUNITY LIFE (FOR ADULTS)

What you'll find is a group in your geographical location, a group in your same life stage, a group that meets at the church because of child care needs, or meets in homes around the tri-valley.  Whatever you are looking for, we're here to help you plug in. You can contact Carole Taylor at 560-3800 ext 116 for more information.  The following groups and events are part of Community Life:

-SMALL GROUPS-

If you’ve been meaning to join a Small Group, stop by the Small Groups kiosk after service and get connected! You can also contact Carole Taylor to help you connect with a small group staff leader who will find just the right group for you.  All groups are also listed on our website here.

-FORM YOUR OWN SMALL GROUP-

Maybe you have connections with people at work or in your neighborhood.  Maybe you serve with people on Sunday mornings that have a lot in common with you.  Maybe you’d like to have deeper community with people you’ve met at church events.  You don’t have to wait for a group to form, you can do that with people you already know. Head to the Community Life page on our website and click on the Interested in Forming Your Own Group button to learn more.

Squeeze every bit of fun out of summer while we still can!  Enjoy a sweet and quirky chick flick in an outdoorsy theater experience complete with popcorn, soft drinks, candy and cool chicks like YOU!  We’ll be watching “This Beautiful Fantastic” (PG) - a contemporary fairy tale revolving around the unlikely of friendship between a reclusive young woman with dreams of being a children's book author and a cantankerous widower, set against the backdrop of a beautiful garden in the heart of London.  Bring a chair and/or blanket and your favorite candy to share.  Register here and please contact Leslie Will for any more details.

The Village - Mom's Group
Starts September 13th, Wednesdays (bi-weekly) 9:30-11am

The Village is a group of mom's like you who desire a safe place to be themselves and a break from the "joys" of motherhood.  We gather around refreshments to learn from speakers and engage in meaningful conversation with a book study.  This season we will be tracking with the next sermon series and reading/discussing, "The Good and Beautiful God" by James Bryan Smith.  Occasionally, we'll throw in a craft, or an activity like yoga into the mix!  Join us for the fun.   Register here https://crosswinds.ccbchurch.com/form_detail.php?form_id=149.  $20 for book and supplies.  Contact Leslie Will for more information. Childcare available for an additional fee.

-SUPPORT GROUPS-

These are groups for those who have identified specific needs and want to work on them within a group setting. The groups are a place for open, honest and supportive interaction with others dealing with the same issues. We currently offer groups for: Betrayal Care, Cancer Support, Divorce Care, Grief Support, Healing Tears (Post-Abortion Support), & Art of Communication. We also have an Alcoholics Anonymous for Young People that meets at our church. You can find more information about the groups on our website HERE

Don't worry, if you can't stay for the whole time, it's not a problem! And there are a lot of opportunities at the garden - not just planting and digging, so come check us out! Please bring water to drink and a hat for shade. Questions? Please email us at garden@crosswindschurch.org

OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH

Refocus App
Current CW Videos: My Thank You Note, Moments of Pause & More!
The Refocus app is an ever-changing collection of video devotionals, which you can watch and then discuss with others. CrossWinds will be posting video devotionals to the app each week! You can find us by opening the app while at church (it will use location services to locate our content) or by a quick search for CrossWinds Church. To find the Refocus app, follow the link here for Apple users, or here for Android users.

FOR OUR KIDS
The mission of CrossWinds Kids is to partner with families to help kids KNOW God, LOVE others and REFLECT Jesus in their everyday life. We offer services for kids Birth-5th grade each Sunday in The Barn at 9am, 10:30am, & 12pm.

LEVEL-UP (4th - 5th grade)
Sundays @ 9am & 12pm
Visit us online or contact Kim Bonilla
Level-Up helps 4th and 5th graders to take their next steps forward as disciples of Jesus. Our goal is to prepare them for life as a student after elementary school. We do this by challenging them and raising the bar relationally and theologically. These young "tweens" are more than capable of drawing closer to Christ and to each other in community prior to their jr. high days. Level-Up will serve to supercharge their faith and their friendships moving forward.

FOR OUR YOUTH

STUFF (Junior High)
Sundays @ 10:30am
Wednesdays @ 6:30pm
Visit us online or contact Kim Bonilla

EPIC (High School)
