Joshua was born and raised in Carmel, CA and moved to the East Bay after falling in love with his beautiful wife, Carrie. Together they have two sons under the age of five, Jack and Henry. The boys keep them busy and fill their lives with joy. One of Joshua’s biggest passions is music. After touring for a number of years around the country with his punk rock band, Joshua felt called to settle down in the East Bay and become part of a church community. At CrossWinds, Joshua strives to build a creative space in which people can worship God. He loves songwriting, and has written many of the worship songs we sing each week. He is passionate about building community within a church setting and loves leading people in worship. Joshua’s other interests include the San Francisco Giants, Blue Bottle Coffee, and biking.

She wrote a book all about it called Scriptless: What I Learned About God on the Las Vegas Strip. She is a dynamic teacher, a reluctant writer, a funny friend and mom to two awesome girls.
student ministry Pastor
Kimberly grew up in Hayward, CA along with her younger brother Mark and older sister Cristi. Although she had a close-knit family, they weren't regular church attenders, so being fully committed to Christ happened a little later for her. She didn't fully surrender her life to Christ until high school in what seemed like the most unsuspecting way; through the trials and tribulations of growing up. Around the age of 14, Kimberly found CrossWinds and quickly became a regular in the student ministry. It was here she later felt Christ calling her to serve. After having her son, Daniel, and marrying her best friend, Anthony, she pursued her calling formally by attending Fuller Theological Seminary and interning with Stanford Hospital as the resident Chaplain. Although she loved serving as a Chaplain, she kept feeling the Lord leading her back to be with the CrossWinds staff. She has been our High School Pastor since 2013 and is delighted to bring her fun, fresh ideas alongside Jesus to our middle school, high school, and college students as the Student Ministry Pastor!

"I'll never forget the day CrossWinds Church was born back in November of 1988. No one on the leadership team really knew what to expect as the church opened its doors for the first time. But as nearly 300 people showed up to check out this new church, well, we all knew that God's hand was in this. And I've never doubted that since."
